The Kilmington Fayer and Flower Show is back on July 29th with an afternoon of family fun and floral competition.
Gates open at 1pm and the fayre goes on until 5 in the evening in and around the village hall. There will be something for everyone from children’s fancy dress to live music, BBQ and beer. There is also the flower show, which looks to be quite a thing with very strict rules and competitions including best-kept allotment, flower arranging, cookery and more. There are even classes for the juniors to compete in so get those children horticulturing right away!
Last years show was a roaring success and included at tractor and steam engines – I can’t see these on the itinerary for this years show but I’m sure there will be lots of surprises and fun activities to enjoy and prizes to be won.
So if you find yourself in the Axminster area this Saturday then make your way over to Kilmington – and if you’re reading this after the event there is still the telephone box library to see so come anyway!
