If you are planning lunch at home or a cold buffet don’t forget the lovely delicatessen with its selection of olives, coleslaw and the like, plus a fantastic choice of real local cheeses. Due to its reputation for excellent products, Complete Meats has steadily expanded from one simple butchers shop in Axminster. In 2001 the Honiton shop opened and in 2004 they moved production to a state of the art cutting and production plant. Complete Meats has a band of loyal customers who regularly visit the shops in Axminster and Honiton. They also supply a large number of local restaurants, pubs and cafes - discerning chefs who know that really good food can only be made from the best quality meat. Entering and winning awards has become a second passion for owners Shaun and Cindy Vining. They have won a number of local awards such Taste of the West for their sausages and pies, but in November 2006 they were delighted to win a National Award for their Traditional Pork Sausage, not to mention a second and third place prize in the speciality categories. Furthermore they were highly commended in the Butchers Shop of the Year award where they were up against shops from all over the British Isles.
